It is possible to format a column of a DataView by applying formatting options to a block of the Layout.
The format definition is accessible from a tab of the block definition window.
It is possible to define formatting options such as font type, size, color, number symbol, number of digits and cell color for the following elements of a column:
the Label: corresponding to the column header,
the Value: the actual column cells
the Total: corresponding to all subtotal levels, if existing.
the Grand Total.
The format options defined on the block are applied after applying the format options of the DataView and of the Entity (if present).
To format a column,
go to the Format tab of the block and tick the checkbox Enable custom block formatting
click on the cell to format, then apply the desired settings.
Note
The option Format negative numbers with parentheses of the Entity format and block format allows represent negative numbers in parentheses instead of using the minus sign. This option shouldn't be used on fields where data-entry is enabled.
