Board Operational Forecasting

We’re excited to introduce a preview of the new Board Operational Forecasting tool, designed to help teams automate large-scale demand planning and make smarter, faster, and more consistent decisions directly within the Board Platform!

Data Management

This module is the entry point for your forecasting data. It supports CSV, Parquet, and TSV formats.

Key activities

• Upload and validate. Drag-and-drop files and set the frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly). A Data Preview step allows you to validate up to the first 25 records before confirming the upload.

• Dataset management. View file metadata (size, record count, uploader) and manage existing sets (Rename or Delete).

• Forecasting jobs management. Selecting a file reveals its contents and a history of all forecasting jobs associated with that specific dataset.

Job Setup

This module is where you create, view, and manage forecasting jobs and their results.

After uploading a file in Data Management, you use Job Setup to generate a forecast based on that file.

Create a job

To generate a forecast, you must configure the following:

• Select File. Choose the uploaded file to use as the Data Source

• Forecast Horizon. Define the future duration (Max: 365 days, 52 weeks, or 12 months)

• Select Forecast Column. Identify the specific numeric data to be predicted.

• Select Data Granularity. Set the dimensional level for the output.

• Job Name. Enter a name to identify the job.

Execution monitoring

Jobs progress through four primary statuses:

1. Pending. Queued for processing.

2. Training. The system is analyzing data patterns.

3. Forecasting. The model is generating future values.

4. Completed. Results are ready for review.

Once a job status is Completed, users can access the Job Results dashboard to visualize and export data.
