The Chart Object allows you to create and format a wide variety of charts, including pie charts, bar charts, radar charts, waterfall charts, and many more. Just like every other Screen Object in Board, all Chart Objects are highly interactive and give users new ways of exploring information and data: they offer features such as zooming, master layout, drill-down and interactive selection. Board offers you many chart types to experiment with, allowing you to create your own combination to make it easier to analyze your data. These Chart Objects complement, and can be used in conjunction with, existing [Screen Objects](/v1/docs/about-screen-objects) as well as [Containers](/v1/docs/about-containers). ## Chart types There are eight types of charts, all working in a similar way, but displaying data differently: - [**Cartesian**](/v14/docs/cartesian-chart-properties) - [**Pie**](/v14/docs/pie) - [**Waterfall**](/v14/docs/waterfall-chart-properties) - [**Radar**](/v14/docs/radar-chart-properties) - [**Bubble chart**](/v14/docs/bubble-chart) - [**Bullet chart**](/v14/docs/bullet-chart) - [**Heatmap**](/v14/docs/heatmap) - [**Treemap**](/v14/docs/treemap) ## Examples The following picture shows two charts, a **Pie chart** and a **Spline chart**, in a Screen covering purchase orders. ![contents/assets/images/about.charts.png](https://cdn.document360.io/8d6f1ae8-0cac-4d0d-a208-6245b83df94a/Images/Documentation/the-chart-object-image-f53kvjm9.png) In the following picture, a **Bar chart** compares the performance of each sales person between the current year and the previous year. ![contents/assets/images/bar.chart.about.png](https://cdn.document360.io/8d6f1ae8-0cac-4d0d-a208-6245b83df94a/Images/Documentation/the-chart-object-image-qxc2uy8t.png) In the following Screen, two charts analyze forecast data: ![contents/assets/images/charts.forecast.data.png](https://cdn.document360.io/8d6f1ae8-0cac-4d0d-a208-6245b83df94a/Images/Documentation/the-chart-object-image-8xfarduk.png) Learn more about: - [**Creating charts**](/v1/docs/creating-charts-1) - [**Interacting with charts**](/v1/docs/interacting-with-charts-1)
