# The Card Object

The Card Object is a very flexible Object that's useful to display all kinds of information (numerical and non-numerical) in a highly customizable area. It can be used in dashboards or in other kinds of reports, since it supports the Master option to make a selection on all other Screen Objects.

A Card Object includes several card elements that display data for each member of a single Entity configured in [the Layout](/v1/docs/about-the-layout) and can be customized using the formatting options [common to all Screen Objects](/v1/docs/about-screen-objects#options-common-to-all-screen-objects).

## Example

The following image shows a simple report where the Master option has been configured on the Card Object that displays data about salespeople of a company: clicking on a salesman's name automatically updates the data displayed by all other Objects on the Screen in order to show only information related to the selected person.

The Card also shows pictures and other useful data about each salesperson: all information is neatly organized in small cards within the Card Object's area.
