This section describes the Indicator Page in Board Foresight. This article covers:
What is the Indicator Page?
The Indicator Page provides a detailed view of an indicator, including metadata, statistics, visualizations, and tabular data. You can access this page by navigating to an indicator from the Project Data, Search, Discover, Workbench, or Model pages.
Hamburger Menu Options
On the Indicator Page, you can access these features from the hamburger menu ( ):
Chart Options: Edit and manage your chart appearance.
Version History: View historical changes to the time series and its metadata. Compare two versions to identify differences.
Transform: Apply transformations, such as univariate forecasts, frequency changes, calculations, seasonality adjustments, or outlier detection with indicator knitting.
Run Seasonality Test: Test for underlying seasonal patterns to remove consistent monthly or quarterly variations.
Edit Metadata: Update an indicator’s metadata. For composites, you can also update the formula.
Export: Download the indicator data to a CSV file.
Tag: Add tags for easier navigation.
Add to Favorite: Save the indicator to Favorites for quick access.
Add to Alerts: Set alerts to monitor the indicator (see Alerts).
Add to Workbench: Add the indicator to a Workbench (see Workbench).
Add to Model: Add the indicator to a Model (see Models).
Change Base Calculation: Update the base calculation of the indicator.
If this change would break a connected Workbench or Forecast Model, it will not be applied. You will receive an email notification confirming whether the update was successful.
Delete: Delete the indicator (Not available for Global Intelligence Cloud indicators).
New Discover Job: Create a Discover job (see Discover).
Apply Transformations
Transformations let you modify and enhance indicators without leaving the Indicator Page. Multiple transformations can be layered, and you control their order.
Select Update Preview to view the results of your selections.
Select Apply to return to the Indicator Page with the transformation applied.
Validation
If transformations are applied in an invalid sequence, a validation message will alert you.
Univariate Forecast
Predict future values based on historical data:
Choose a forecast type from the drop-down menu.
Enter the number of forecasted points.
Select Update Preview to view results, then Apply to save.
For the Best Univariate forecast:
Select Update Preview to run a background test.
The Model Selection drop-down will display the model with the lowest MAPE.
If new data is added, the existing methodology is retained. Select Rerun All Forecasts to have the system automatically reselect the best univariate model.
Calculation Adjustment
Apply common calculations to the indicator:
None: Use raw values.
Period over Period: Percent change from the prior period.
Year over Year: Percent change from the same period in the prior year.
3 Period Moving: Three-month moving average.

Test Indicator for Seasonality
A seasonality test identifies recurring patterns and adjusts indicators by removing consistent monthly or quarterly variations.
Prerequisite
The option Run Seasonality Test appears only if the indicator is not already seasonally adjusted by source.
Navigate to the hamburger menu of a primary indicator
Select Run Seasonality Test. A diagnostics form appears.
Select CONTINUE to open the Preview Seasonal Adjustment screen.
Review options:
Rerun: Rerun the test with different start/end dates or apply outlier controls.
CREATE: Finalize and apply the seasonal adjustment.
Once complete, the primary indicator is marked as seasonally adjusted.
