This article highlights the development work released to production throughout October, November, and December 2025, including new features and enhancements, and bug fixes, made available to all users.
No Manual Upgrades Required
All updates to the Board Foresight application are version-controlled and automatically deployed, so customers always have access to the latest version without needing to manually upgrade.
Feature Releases and Enhancements
Fiscal Year Reporting and Exports
Board Foresight now supports full fiscal year based reporting for companies that operate on a fiscal calendar rather than a standard calendar year.
When a fiscal year is defined at the Company Settings level, models and workbenches will aggregate data according to the configured fiscal year structure. All offsets, relationships, and calculations are automatically adjusted so results align correctly with company reporting periods. This enhancement ensures consistency across analysis, visualization, and exports for organizations that rely on fiscal year reporting.
The following outputs now reflect fiscal year aggregation when enabled:
Individual indicator exports to CSV
Workbench exports to CSV and Excel
Model exports to CSV, Excel, and PowerPoint
All exported data reflects the fiscal year structure defined by the company, ensuring alignment with downstream reporting and stakeholder consumption.
Fiscal year configuration is managed within Company Settings and is accessible to administrators only. While the fiscal year definition is centrally controlled, Contributor roles can toggle between Calendar Year and Fiscal Year views directly within Workbenches and Models. This allows these users to compare reporting perspectives without altering company level settings.
Transformations
Bulk Transformations: A new bulk transformations option has been added to the Workbench. Users can now apply transformations to multiple indicators at the same time, significantly improving efficiency when working with large indicator sets.
Data and Discover Improvements
Board and Foresight Integration:
Customers with access to multiple Board instances can now exchange data with Foresight from those instances. This enables support for environments such as production and sandbox within a single Foresight instance.
Foresight users who have access to multiple Board instances can now exchange data back to Board, improving bidirectional data integration across environments.
Data Gap Handling: Due to the United States government shutdown, many public data sources did not publish October 2025 data points. All affected data loaders have been updated with a new naive gap filling approach to handle missing values consistently.
Bug Fixes
This update includes bug fixes related to:
Charting and Display
Resolved an issue where the tooltip for influential outliers did not display the date format correctly.
Added a scroll bar to the Edit Metadata modal to prevent indicator metadata from being cut off.
Fixed an issue where the indicator version history did not correctly display the datetime axis.
Data Handling and Aggregation
Fixed an issue with the NCDC Storm Events data loader so that data now updates correctly.
Resolved an issue where date pickers across the application displayed an earliest selectable year of 1700. Date ranges now reflect valid bounds.
Fixed an issue where newly loaded indicators from the Data Upload Wizard did not appear in search results.
Workbench Experience
Resolved an issue where the Unselected Indicators header was inadvertently removed when applying transformations in the bulk selection modal.
Fixed an issue where copied workbenches could not have their frequency changed.
Resolved an issue where frequency aggregation did not update after removing a transformation. For example, daily indicators in monthly workbenches now correctly update aggregation when converting back to daily frequency.
Model Experience
Resolved an issue where Discover runs with Auto Generate Workbench selected did not execute and failed to create workbenches.
Resolved an issue where the historical periods forecast table did not display values for semi annual aggregations.
Fixed an issue where the regression start date could exceed the primary indicator end date, which caused server errors. Validation now prevents this condition.
Corrected an issue where frequency table shading was incorrect for the first forecast point.
When the sample size is fewer than 15 observations, the control chart shown when locking a model is now appropriately restricted instead of failing to render.
Models that had their primary indicators removed will now load correctly, allowing users to assign a new primary indicator without encountering errors.
When applying a percentage change forecast, the validation error message now correctly displays the acceptable input range.
