Board 15.1 introduces major enhancements across Board AI Agents, Operational Forecasting, the Board for Microsoft 365 Excel Add-in, the planner experience, and Platform administration.
This release expands the production capabilities of Board AI with interactive Agent experiences and business-aware Dataset Attributes. It also introduces new forecasting capabilities, enhances the Board for Microsoft 365 Excel Add-in, and delivers improvements to planning, reporting, security, and centralized administration.
Main new features of Board 15.1
Board AI Agents
Board 15.1 expands Board AI Agents with new planning Agents and deeper finance capabilities. The new Supply Chain Agent and Merchandiser Agent help planning teams analyze changes, explain key drivers, and compare possible actions. The FP&A Agent adds causal analysis, while the Controller Agent adds deeper intercompany reconciliation and can prepare journal proposals for eligible differences.
Users can now work with interactive Agent tables, export results, and send table content to a Smart Import Object for review. Board 15.1 also adds Agent version management, support for resolved Dynamic Selection values, broader access through the “GenAI” permission, and API Credit monitoring in Subscription Hub.
Board for Microsoft 365 Excel Add-in
Board 15.1 continues to enhance the Board for Microsoft 365 Excel Add-in with improvements to usability, migration, and reporting.
Highlights include:
Improved refresh progress and error reporting
Support for Cloud environments without Subscription Hub
Localization in English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese
Improved export workflows, including security settings
Version management for both Add-ins, the legacy MS Office Add-in and the Microsoft 365 Add-in, on the same device
Copy and paste for Sheet Selections and Layouts across supported sheets and workbooks
Calculated subtotal aggregation for Algorithm Blocks
Operational Forecasting
Board 15.1 introduces significant enhancements to Operational Forecasting that improve forecast configuration, transparency, validation, access management, and data residency.
New capabilities include:
Multi-region deployment support, with customer data stored in the assigned geographic region to support data residency, governance, and sovereignty requirements
A new Univariate Approach, providing ten statistical forecasting algorithms for side-by-side comparison of forecast outputs
Covariate files for Recommended Path jobs, allowing external business drivers to improve forecasting accuracy
Holdout Accuracy Evaluation for Recommended Path jobs, with automatic validation against historical data and metrics such as MAPE, Forecast Error, and WAPE
User synchronization across Board, Foresight, and Operational Forecasting
Centralized user and license management through the Subscription Hub
Planner experience
Board 15.1 introduces several improvements that simplify personalization and day-to-day planning.

Managed Identity support for secure File Storage access in the Admin Portal
Centralized management of Foresight and Operational Forecasting users through the Subscription Hub
Management of Board Support users through the Identity Hub
License-free Board Support service accounts that no longer consume customer licenses in the Identity Hub or Board
Subscription Hub version and revision information displayed in the user menu to support compatibility checks and troubleshooting

Dataset improvements
Datasets now support separate “AI Dataset” and “Standard Dataset” types, with a limit of 100 Datasets for each type. The new “Data Attributes Table” lets Developers add business-friendly descriptions to the Algorithms, Entities, Cubes, Rules, and Rankings used in a Dataset. Developers can also reuse suggested descriptions for the same Entity or Cube from other Datasets. These improvements make Dataset content easier to understand and help Board AI Agents interpret business terms with the correct context.
