Board AI Agent usage is measured with API Credits. API Credits are the usage metric for the AI platform.

API Credits measure Board AI Agent usage.
Board Agents use one tenant-level credit pool. The same pool is shared across all customer instances where Board AI Agents are available, including production and sandbox instances.
There is no Agent limit in the credit pool. Out-of-the-box Agents and custom Agents share the same tenant-level API Credit pool.
How AI usage is measured
API Credits are applied across all customer instances.
The monthly entitlement is shared across all instances in the tenant. Production and sandbox instances draw from the same monthly pool.
API Credits reset on the 1st of each month and cannot be carried forward.
Monitor AI usage
Administrators can monitor total AI usage in Subscription Hub.
In the "AI Platform Activation" area, administrators can review the overall AI usage and check consumption against the monthly entitlement.
The usage view helps administrators understand:
Which instances are available for Board AI Agents.
How much of the monthly API Credit pool has been consumed.
Whether usage is approaching the monthly entitlement.
Usage alerts and hard stop
When 80% of the monthly API Credit consumption is reached, an alert is sent to the account’s Admin.
When the monthly entitlement is fully consumed, Board AI Agent activity stops until the next cycle or until more credits are available.
Monitor AI usage regularly to avoid interruptions when usage approaches the monthly entitlement.
